My grandmother was recently inducted into the USC Half Century Trojans Hall of Fame. She truly is one of my heroes. I am fortunate enough to have dinner at her place almost every Wednesday, and she's still going strong at 91. She graduated from USC in 1935 when she was only 19, then started at USC Law School. She met my grandfather, a widower with two young daughters. Overnight, she became a wife and mother, having just started law school, at the age of 19. She practiced law with my grandfather in his private practice, arguing cases all the way to the California Supreme Court. She was the first woman selected as president of the USC Alumni Association, then served on USC's Board of Trustees for 20 years. Truly an inspiration!
